To successfully coordinate the demand forecasting function in an
efficient and effective manner through applying statistical modelling
techniques and judgemental modelling techniques.
Activity
• Review and validate the updating of actual data into Procast by SKU, by depot and by week, from business objects and data cleansed to remove erratic?/?c selling activities through history override and flagging methods and product hierarchy and geographical hierarchy are correctly set up which are consistent with all other business information tool e.g. BO, SAP and SARAS by demand planner on a weekly basis.
• Populate weekly?/?y basis the system?/?e forecast through Procast by SKU, by depot by applying time series and stored historical seasonal to the trend.
• Weekly reviews, measure and reporting of forecast accurcay level?/?s with demand planners and understand the causes for inaccuracies using events logging system, dicsussion with sales analyst and take corrective actions.
• Analyse, quantify and capture marketing, sales distribution and external events which are generated through the formal demand management meetings held between demand forecast manager, marketing and sales teams and submit to demand planners to build these as additive, uplift, judgemental models and profile building events in the PROCAST system and ensure these are accurately updated in the PROCAST.
• Ensure and review capturing of local level exceptional events are built in the forecasting model beyond the normal business cycle by demand planners e.g. Local level promotional activities and charity orders.
• Submit previous month accuracy reports?/?s and the consolidated current month forecast and rationale?/?n (as additive events) to demand forecast manager and review and gain sign off.
• Submit and review Ramadan/Hajj forecast on baseline forecast and regional view forecast with demand forecast manager and incorporate in the weekly?/?y rolling forecast system.
• Make sure on meeting deadlines on update?/?e the weekly?/?y consolidated official forecast through SAP to all stake holders on time by demand planners.
• Ensure and confirm the demand planner’s are weekly basis passing demand signal to reflect the changing market?/?r demand to the whole supply chain functions effectively to react.
• Assist demand forecast manager in preparation and submission of annual sales volume and non sales budget by SKU, by week and by depot and rationalize based on the marketing plan and sales and distribution strategy and in order make a detail presentation by demand forecast manager to all senior managers and gain sign off.
• Assist demand forecast manager in terms of 5 year plan system modeling and deriving of sales volume, non sales volume sales prices, sales value, cost price and margin based marketing long term plan and sales distribution long term plan and communicate to other functions to their 5YP activities on an yearly basis.
• Assist demand forecast manager to estimate sales demand for the weekly flash report (financial projection) considering current market conditions and production constraints.
• Estimate volumes of new product (NPD) launches and promotions and assist demand forecast manager with input from market teams assist demand forecast manger to perform post launch evaluation.
