• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University or College in a finance or business related discipline.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional accountancy body desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ accounting/financial experience, particularly in General Ledger accounting, with a large multi-national company, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience with ERP/Accounting systems in the Finance function is highly desirable. SAP experience preferred

  • Responsible for the efficient routine maintenance of General Ledger Accounts ensuring that all transactions are properly included in the General Ledger and that all appropriate reconciliations are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. Follows up day-to-day, month-end and year-end processes within the General Ledger section with regard to the company’s controls and procedures ensuring timely and accurate data.
  • Quality, timeliness and accuracy of work. Monitor all Journal entries, ensuring existence of appropriate supporting documentation and accuracy of entries;
  • Review & control any prior period reclassifications and adjustments to General Ledger accounts.
