Senior Protection Engineer - Siemens - Doha - Qatar

What are my responsibilities?
* Design, testing, installation and commissioning of protection relays, power transformers, MV/LV switchgears etc
* Support of all discipline and maintenance activities related to application
* Adherence to safety regulations and coaching of site staff
* Allocating personnel to specific requirements
* Preparing technical reports, test sheets, failure reports etc
* Planning and preparation of time schedule in coordination with client
* Monitoring of spare parts, tools and equipment for procurement needs
* Ongoing coordination with Project Manager and other senior engineers
* Expert level technical support in all investigation and problem analysis activities
* Attend emergency calls and fault investigations
* Monitor staff performance for HR evaluation
What do I need to qualify for this job?
* University Degree in Electrical Engineering
* 5-10 years of experience in switchgear, transformer, battery system and protection relay maintenance
* Knowledge of ABB and Siemens equipment essential
* 5-10 years of experience in substation maintenance
* 4-5 years of leadership/managerial experience
* Knowledge of power engineering and schematic diagrams
* Computer literate
* Excellent English communication skills
* Experience planning and coordinating site work
* Previous experience working in multicultural teams
