Engineering disciplines play a key role in designing, building and maintaining Shell’s operations. We therefore need the expertise of skilled professional engineers from a wide range of technical disciplines such as mechanical, civil, electrical, process and control engineering. As a professional engineer in these disciplines, you will provide technological support to oil and gas production facilities, refineries or chemical plants.

The nature of this support varies depending on business needs, but ranges from day-to-day visits to the control room to discuss issues with operators right through to long-term project development as part of a larger team.

If you join us as an Engineer in any of these disciplines, your responsibilities could include:

• Ensuring the technical integrity of plants and new projects
• Ensuring safe, reliable and environmentally responsible operations
• Optimising and improving the operation of a plant and equipment
• Analysing and interpreting operational data
• Representing Shell to professional technical institutions and conferences
