Occasional outdoor visits to worksites to collect data needed for detailed engineering drawings. The draftsman works closely with engineers on site as well as in the design office. Needs to have a good clarity on layout of plant and work sites.

Education:
High School Certificate.
2 year certificate in CAD/CAM drafting and computerised graphics.

Skills:
Specialised skills in engineering drafting using CAD, covering mechanical, electrical and civil works.
Expert knowledge of CAD software.
Expert knowledge of technical library/archive and information retrieval systems.

Experience:
4 years’ engineering drafting experience using CAD in all areas of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering graphics in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.
