The jobholder is responsible for operation of the Power Dispatch Section. The jobholder is to implement mid to long-term operational plans, and coordinate with the Maintenance Department for maintenance works. The biggest challenge to the jobholder is to Maintain 115KV, 34.5KV and 13.8KV voltage levels within the prescribed limits, and assist LDC Jeddah in maintaining system frequency by keeping generation equal to load, actual power exchange equal to scheduled exchange and providing power assistance to SEC on request from LDC Jeddah The job holder needs to operate high voltage equipments and also work in shifts.

BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Skills:
Jobholder should possess strong front line experience in the operation of Electrical Power System having own generating facilities and interconnected to neighbouring power utility system.
To gain the required depth and breadth of managerial level, 8 years experience would be necessary at a high level supervisory position.

Minimum Experience:
6 - 8 years’ relevant operational or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
3 - 5 years experience of power dispatch operations.
Previous power generation experience is an advantage.
Previous supervisory/man-management experience.
Project management experience.
