The Program Manager (PM) is required to help Executive Director in program oversight, business related matter and daily logistics and decisions related to fulfilling Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute (QEERI) mission of discovery towards water, energy and food security for the state of Qatar and the region. The incumbent will participate in QEERI strategic planning, budgeting, and resource planning, personnel management and creation of policy, procedures and standards. The PM will represent the Director in Director's absence, as appropriate.
Key Result Areas:
? Assist the director and QEERI team in the development and oversight of the implementation of the QEERI strategic plan.
? Assist the director in all of the institute business and budget related matters.
? Assist with advertising, planning and implementing events to ensure QEERI’s participation in related activities within Qatar Foundation, Qatar, and the world, as required.
? Manage facilities inventory, initiate vendor purchase orders and coordinate receiving and implementation of same; manage staff in support of, and participate in, day-to-day operation, troubleshooting and configuration of the program
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
? Graduate degree.
? 15+ years supervisory/managerial experience (consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience).
? Experience in budget and financial matters.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Demonstrated planning and project management skills.
? Guide, lead and develop employees and manage projects involving multiple teams.
? Demonstrated ability to influence senior level management and key stakeholders
? Demonstrated ability to make effective use of strategic planning, project management, budgeting, resource allocation, and the coordination of people and resources
? Demonstrated ability to effectively guide, lead, and develop employees.
? Ability to think creatively and work independently.
? Ability to manage complex processes, supervise a staff of full and part-time employees, interacting positively with a diverse population.
? Ability to organize logistical and operation challenges.
? Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.
? Ability to travel when needed.
? Supervisory experience.
? Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate Qatar Foundation policies and procedures.
? Excellent planning, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, project management and customer service skills.
? Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels utilizing The Basic Principles and teamwork to successfully guide the work of others.
? Personal computer and related software skills.
