Suggests, designs Training Programs for Vocational Development and facilitates programs, in line with departmental goals.

Key Result Areas:
• Liaison with Training Agencies: Maintains a comprehensive awareness of the capabilities of training agencies in offering training programs with respect to skills required by employers in prospective employees.
• Defining Training Programs: Liaises with training vendors to design and develop appropriate training programs based on the skill-sets required for candidates to be employable.
• Training Processes: Ensures that the Training processes are implemented effectively. Gathers feedback on the effectiveness of the processes, and makes suitable modifications to processes.
• Resource Utilization: Ensures that available resources - finances, employees, volunteers and assets - are utilized optimally to attain the highest possible benefit for participants.
• Mentoring: Works closely with junior colleagues to mentor and develop their skills by identifying areas of development with constructive feedback, sharing knowledge and guiding work.
• Compliance: Ensures that all programs are executed within the requirements of legal and organizational policy requirements.
• Understanding Market Skills: Assists the Section Head in preparing the inventory of skills that the employer market needs in prospective employees.
• Understanding Applicant Information: Works closely with the Career Counseling & Screening Section to understand applicant information with respect to existing educational qualifications, and the number of applicants in each category.
• Developing Assessment Processes: Assists the Section Head in developing a framework and process for assessing developmental needs and skill-sets of applicants in line with the needs of the job market, and in line with the different target segments.
• Conducting Assessment Processes: Assumes independent responsibility for conducting the Assessment Processes in line with departmental objectives.
• Process Feedback: Gathers feedback on the effectiveness of the assessment processes on meeting its objectives and suggests areas of improvement to the Section Head.
• Resource Utilization: Ensures that available resources - finances, employees, volunteers and assets - are utilized optimally to attain the highest possible benefit for participants.
• Mentoring: Works closely with junior colleagues to mentor and develop their skills by identifying areas of development with constructive feedback, sharing knowledge and guiding work.
• Compliance: Ensures that all projects are executed within the requirements of legal and organizational policy requirements.
• Provides administrative assistance: to immediate supervisor; develops prepares and presents recommendations and reports; coordinates activities with other program areas.
• Monitors course: offerings and recommends additions, changes, deletions to keep program/area current; coordinates the development of course outlines and materials in assigned area.
• Ensures program accreditation: certification and licensure; represents the program and college at meetings of professional organizations

Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration / HR / Social Studies
• 5 years of relevant work experience in Training / HR / Social Work
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - with fluency in English and Arabic; written and oral.
• Computer Literacy: MS windows applications (Word processing, excel, spreadsheets..).
