Internal Auditor (Ref No. 1/2011/Internal Audit)

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Auditor will be responsible for planning and conducting internal audit engagements, in accordance with written audit programs to determine the extent to which assurance exists that meet the criteria for effective control. The Auditor will provide efficient and effective audit field work and discuss audit issues with auditees, raise audit comments, draft audit reports, and ensure conformance with audit standards, plans, budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct internal audit assignments in accordance with a written program, turn around audit engagements within budgeted timeframes and applicable Internal Audit department standards.
• Identify opportunities for improving risk management, internal control and governance processes, and weaknesses.
• Conduct special assignments and reviews as directed by the Head of Internal Audit within budgeted time allocations.
• Ensure inefficiencies have been identified and effectively communicated to the Head of Internal Audit via reports and presentations.
• Draft the internal audit report and assist in testing and assessing of corrective action taken by concerned auditees.
• Assist in developing the annual audit plan and implement a continuous monitoring plan.

Requirements
• A university degree in Accounting/Finance, ideally with CIA/ CISA/ CA/CFA professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of audit experience within the banking sector with good IT auditing exposure.
• Bilingual, excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic as well as English.
• Strong analytical audit skills with discipline approach to details.
• Good understanding of Investment and Commercial Banking products & structures.
