The Department of Student Services at the American University in Dubai would like to invite qualified applicants to apply for the position of Student Activities Coordinator.

The position objective is to develop and implement policies and procedures for student activities, student organizations and campus events and coordinate and manage student clubs, organizations, and events. The Student Activities Coordinator is responsible for helping to develop a culture of student life at AUD through creative approaches. This position reports directly to the Dean of Student Services.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and liaise with student clubs and organizations
  • Organize and develop on and off campus extracurricular events
  • Develop and seek sponsorships for University events
  • Serve as Student Government Association advisor
  • Determine needs of students regarding social and cultural activities
  • Chaperon and create student activities and events (including dorm events)
  • Devise and maintain a yearly student events calendar
  • Register and maintain rosters of students participating in different clubs and organizations
  • Develop and revise an expansion plan for student activities and events
  • Create and manage AUD Student Activities Budget
  • Maintain student activities section of AUD webpage
  • Complete all reports required by the Division of Student Services
  • Maintain membership in professional association
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • Computer proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in student activities
