Ensure timely support to the Head of Recruitment. The Recruitment Officer shall perform all recruiting and hiring processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, short listing, input and update management information systems.

Ensure timely support to the Head of Recruitment. The Recruitment Officer shall perform all recruiting and hiring processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, short listing, input and update management information systems.

Main Activities:
• Provide recruitment support to the Head of Recruitment on all recruitment related matters.
• Assist pro-actively in the recruitment function from the pre-selection of candidates until their integration in their departments.
• Assist in educating hiring managers on recruitment practices.
• Partner with and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to UDC including Head of Departments, Universities and agencies.
• Perform all recruiting and hiring processes including: advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, short listing, negotiating, offering, input and update management information systems.
• Update and maintain data on all local and international supplier’s Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Information.
• Work with internal and external partners on assessments (such as psychometric testing) to deliver best in class candidate selection solutions.
• Assist with the implementation and upkeep of employee communications such as job alerts.
• Source and forward pre-screened CVs to the Head of Recruitment and TAS for review
• Correspond with job applicants and maintain a data base of resumes, online and printed
• Coordinate with Departments for CV review and scheduling of appointments further to instructions of TAS
• Meet and send by email or fax offers to new employees and follow-up on all related matters during post-selection and pre-employment period
• Prepare and advise on all required documents for new employees for employment visa’s (under the supervision of Talent Acquisition Specialist)
• Type offers of employment according to staff hire forms approved by Management under the supervision of Talent Acquisition Specialist
• Undertake all required pre-employment checks including reference, background, qualification, and advise the department heads accordingly as and when required.
• Assist the Head of Recruitment in developing and preparing the strategic plan related to the recruitment function.
• Assist in implementation and adherence of recruitment systems and procedures developed by Head of Recruitment in order to attract best-qualified candidates in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and maintain a data base of soft copy and hard copy resumes.
• Coordinate and maintain a library of Job Descriptions, Advertisements and recruitment related paperwork.
• Assist the Head of Recruitment in writing and continually reviewing HR policies, procedures, practices, personnel administration systems, updating and / or recommending improvements as appropriate to management’s requirements.
• Participate in required recruitment related career fairs and such.
• Assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Recruitment section.
• Ensure that all HR and Recruitment policies and procedures are safeguarded and strictly adhered to.
• Assist in translating paperwork from Arabic to English and English to Arabic when needed.
• 5 years of recruitment experience (In house and consultancy desirable)
• Experience in maintaining and creating statistical and text based databases in both Microsoft Access and Excel
• High level of communication skills, written and verbal in English (English and Arabic desirable)
• Knowledge of Qatari Labour Law
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• In depth knowledge of recruitment processes, suppliers and systems.
• High level of commercial awareness and business judgment, including understanding of financial implications of decisions/actions.
• Knowledge of e-recruitment systems (Oracle desirable)
• Knowledge and experience of supplier management across full project lifecycle.
• Understanding of supplier relationship management.
• Expert knowledge of recruitment best practice.
• Full understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and the ability to deliver within it.
• Self driven, action orientated and result driven.
• Computer literate - MS Office, word, excel, power point, outlook, internet.
• High degree of adaptability to multi-cultural environment
