  • Bachelor of Science or a Diploma in Nursing (minimum of 3 years duration) which provides clinical education from a recognised Nursing Institute.
  • Proof of valid registration as a Registered Nurse from the home country or an internationally recognised body.

Requirements:

   

    Bachelor of Science or a Diploma in Nursing (minimum of 3 years duration) which provides clinical education from a recognised Nursing Institute.
    Proof of valid registration as a Registered Nurse from the home country or an internationally recognised body.
    Western Trained Nurses Preferred.
    Minimum of 6 years hospital nursing experience in a Private Hospital.
    Minimum 2 year’s experience as a Team Leader.
    A Midwifery Diploma is essential.
    Experience as a Preceptor.
    Knowledge and experience of personnel management principles and the administration of nursing services.
    Clinical competence in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
    Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
    Calm disposition and ability to function well under pressure.
    Critical thinking skills are essential.
    Able to function in a multi-disciplinary team.
    Understanding of the multicultural environment in the Middle East.
    Strict adherence to infection control practices.
    Well developed interpersonal skills with effective decision making, problem solving and conflict management abilities.
    English language proficiency is a must and Arabic language would be a definite advantage.
    Flexibility with regard to working hours.
    Computer literate.

Key Outputs:
   

    Provision of high quality ‘hands-on’ nursing care to patients.
    Management of the Nursing Team.
    Ensure that nursing staff are competent in providing high quality nursing care to meet and exceed critical patient needs.
    Deputise for the Unit Manager when required.
    Ensure that new employees are oriented.
    Administer counseling to staff when necessary.
    Promote good working relationships with all personnel and acts as a role model.
    Collation of key data and production of various management reports on a monthly basis.
    Participating in the development of the annual nursing budget with the Unit Manager, continually utilizing a cost conscious approach.
    Responsible for continuous revision, monitoring and evaluation of written nursing standards.
    Ensure that equipment is maintained.
    Management of stock and stationery.
