  • Bachelor degree OR Three years diploma course in Radiodiagnosis from a reputed institution.

Requirements:
    Bachelor degree OR Three years diploma course in Radiodiagnosis from a reputed institution.
    Knowledge or working background on RIS/PACS will be beneficial.
    A current license, registration or certificate to practice.
    Three years experience as a Radiographer in an acute care hospital is desirable.
    Current clinical knowledge of radiology practices.
    Some knowledge and experience in portable radiography in the wards and operating threatres.
    Good interpersonal skills with a mature & responsible disposition.
    Excellent team working skill.
    Knowledge of MRI/CT will be an added advantage.

Key Outputs:
    Performing routine radiographic examinations including X Rays.
    Performing routine radiographic procedures, unaided and within guidelines set out in department policies and procedures.
    Performing or assists with special radiology procedures under supervision of senior staff or Radiologists and undertakes training in these procedures as required.
    Ensureing that patients, relatives and staff are protected from unnecessary hazards due to ionising radiation.
    Attending and participating in general staff meetings convened to ensure open communication of problems, solutions and suggestions within the department.
    Preparing regular reports regarding an assigned area of responsibility, if required.
    Observing all health and safety policies and procedures pertaining to the department and the hospital.
    Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current developments and new techniques in radiography.
    Is required to have a working knowledge of all film processing equipment and systems within the department.
    Is required to have a working knowledge of all clerical and administrative systems within the department.
    Reports all unusual events or occurrences and equipment malfunctions immediately to the Supervisor of Radiographic Services.
    Participates in departmental roster to maintain continuous cover.
    Ordering of supplies and inventory control to ensure adequate stock level, storage and utilisation if required.
    Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the experience, knowledge and skills.
    Ensuring adequate self precaution when handling infective patients like TB, HIV+ve and MRSA patients and to schedule such patients in the prescribed manner and to inform the Supervisor to organise disinfecting the room by infection control department.
    Not allowed to discuss about patients' disease or diagnosis.
    Liaision with Radiology team and nursing staff.
