Requirements:
B. Pharm degree from an accredited institution.
2-3 years relevant experience required, preferably in a hospital.
Must have experience in clinical pharmacy.
Must have experience in medication management quality standards, preferably JCIA standards.
With current license in country of origin.
With MOH license.
Computer literate at intermediate level.
Fluent in English.
Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Key Outputs:
Medication dispensed with proper labeling and instructions regarding the usage, dosage and information on side effects as well as precautions.
Play an active role in prevention, detection and resolution of drug related problems.
Controlled and semi-controlled narcotic drugs supplied to patients and wards.
Medication storage and drug administration inspected to ensure it is in line with laid down standards.
Doctor/ward specific medication needs are established.
Drug related information is provided to doctors, hospital staff and patients.
Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners.
I.V admixture and cytotoxic preparations.
Contributes to the quality processes within the department.
Client expectations are met and quality client service principles maintained.
