This position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating laboratory operations to maintain adherence to expense, revenue and productivity guidelines established for the department. This position is also responsible for providing leadership for all areas of the laboratory to ensure a high level of clinical quality and customer satisfaction.

Develops short and long-term goals and objectives for all areas of the laboratory
Ensures that protocols are in place to comply with accrediting agency guidelines to maintain appropriate licenses and accreditation
Directs the activities of technical and support personnel and makes decisions regarding hiring, promotions, salary adjustments and disciplinary actions in accordance with personnel policies
Maintains the operating budget within budget guidelines
Works to maintain an effective laboratory performance improvement program
Provides leadership and support for clinical integration initiatives at CCAD
Minimum of ten (10) years clinical experience in an accredited clinical laboratory environment is required, including at least five (5) years as section chief
Evidence of progressive leadership and management experience in a clinical position
Ability to analyze and interpret financial and statistical data
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to speak and write in English is required
Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
Health care industry experience is preferred
