Shall be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the
Quality Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO
9000.
Company requirements. This includes assuring that the work is being performed in accordance with the specified requirements.
Reporting on the performance of the quality system by identifying
problems affecting quality and Company complaints to the executive
management for review and basis for the improvement in the quality
system.
Will establish QA/QC requirements and prepare project quality plan for
all activities within the Contract covering the requirements of SP-1171
as a minimum. Liaise with Company on matters relating to Quality / HSE
and its functioning.
The Corporate QA Manager shall be responsible for
advising, guiding and motivating Site line management on all QA and QC activities and related technical matters.
These shall include implementation, operation and maintenance of
Quality Management system in compliance with ISO 9001:2000, relevant QA
and QC training for all Site Personnel and overseeing all Personnel
understand and effectively deliver their QA and QC responsibilities as
per quality plan and procedures.
He shall report to the highest executive management with in the
organization to ensure authority and freedom to execute assigned
responsibilities.
In addition he shall have a registration as a Lead Assessor with the
Institute of Quality Assurance or at least has a Lead Assessor
qualification recognized by the Institute of Quality Assurance.
Principal Accountabilities :
To ensure that a quality system is implemented and maintained in
accordance with the requirements of BS 5750 or ISO 9001 and subjected
to regular audits and
reviews.
Monitor at appropriate stages of work, formal documented reviews to
ensure that work output meets the Contractual requirements including
QA/QC.
To ensure that staff are familiar with the fundamental operational
systems and have ready access to the procedures describing the quality
management system.
Promoting and ensuring feedback of project experience together with
input from new technology, plus feedback from audits to ensure
continues improvement of the quality management system is realized.
Operating an internal audit program utilizing qualified Personnel
independent of the area being audited to determine the effective
application of the quality management system and follow-up effective
close out of the deficiencies.

The
Corporate QA Manager shall be a graduate engineer (BSc Engg. / BE /
B.Tech.) either in mechanical or metallurgical or welding engineering.
He shall also be an IRCA, UK Registered Lead Assessor or equivalent
(where equivalent is proposed, Contractor shall provide evidence of
equivalence from International Accreditation Body (les)).
General requirement :
Minimum of 7 year's management experience in the establishment and
operation of a Quality Management System compatible with the
requirements of BS 5750 or ISO 9001
Experience :
He shall have minimum 18 years of relevant experience in onshore oil
and gas facility construction, including on live installations, with
sound technical knowledge in materials, welding, coating / painting,
NDE inspection and genera! construction activities. In addition, he
shall have experience of working to and fully familiar with ANSI, ASME,
ASTM, API and BS codes used in oil and gas industries. Out of 18 years
of experience, 5 years of experience shall have been gained in Middle
East.
He shall have a minimum of 7 years management experience in
establishment, operation and maintenance of a quality management system
in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 with the capability of developing
quality system, quality plans, work procedures and inspection plans.
Specific Requirement :Good spoken & written skills in English.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis in a business process.
Personality Requirement :
Good inter Personnel & communication skills and an extrovert.
Shall be able to form, smoothly interact and motivate a team with
ability to manage change within a matrix type organization and be
