# Over all in-charge of clinical / occupational nursing activities.
# Maintain a high standard of up to date nursing care and clinical credibility, utilizing current clinical research.
# Formulate health surveillance activities and programs for groups who have been identified at risk.
# Advise on specific occupational health issues including fitness to work and rehabilitation.
# Undertake counseling and support where required and refer as appropriate.
# Develop strategies that facilitate practice development within the unit through appropriate teaching plans.
# Ensure an effective, secure and confidential system of documentation in accordance with local regulations.
# Plan, organize and deploy staff according to competencies and workload in order to meet patient needs.
# Maintain effective communication with managers, clients and professionals ensuring a seamless efficient service delivery.
# Demonstrate cultural awareness within the work place and ensure an equal access to the service is provided for all users no matter position, race or culture.
# Through exemplary practice act as a role model for nursing care within Drydocks World - Dubai.
Managerial:
# Participate in the development of policies and procedures appropriate to the needs of the department.
# Monitor the performance and work of the nursing team identifying areas for improvement.
# Assist in the implementation of departmental management programs and participate in audit and quality programs as required.
# Participate and design training programs as required.
# Monitor service delivery within the clinic and implement approved programs aimed at enhancing service provision.
# Participate in health and safety meetings as required.
# Ensure a cost effective service is maintained through the monitoring of consumable stock within the clinic.
# Visit departments and sites to develop and maintain sound knowledge of the occupational environment and establish contact with employees in the workplace.
# Develop an ongoing program of yard specific health education and promotion.
# Maintain confidentiality at all times.
# To carry out any duties that may be required to ensure the efficient running of the medical service.

| Profile | Foreign Trained R.G.N., Nursing License from Dept. of Health, Dubai. Minimum 3 years training with 3 to 5 years post registration experience. Occupational Health Qualification / experience desired. OH&S Management system experience desired. |
