The purpose of this position is to continuously improve the Zawya search user experience.

Major Responsibilities
    * Monitor and report on search engine engagement and performance
    * Design and implement an effective data collection and feedback process from members
    * Analyse and process search query data to make recommendations to improve result
    * Define methodologies to relate and link content across the platform
    * Use available resources to innovate, experiment and play with new ideas
    * Work with PD and UI to implement and deliver product enhancements and upgrades
    * Work with marketing to communicate enhancements and developments

Required Qualification/Skills:

The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education and prior related work experience.

    * University/college degree or equivalent is well regarded.
    * Ability to understand the different properties of data and have experience in data farming
    * Ability to analyse data, detect patterns and provide conclusive reports
    * Basic understanding of search engine technology, ranking, keywords and meta data
    * This is a new role and as such requires someone who is adaptable, and has the ability to use their initiative and problem-solving skills.
    * Strong computer skills, with attention to detail and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
