• Follow-up on documents at customs
• Co-ordinating timely delivery by carriers
• Take complete inventory / check of packages at the port
• Verify all information on customs for accuracy: description, content
• Receive and update consignment status in a timely manner; issue alerts
• Daily preparation of in and out gate pass for loaded containers.
• Issuing correct transport / customs documentation (Invoice, Packinglist etc)
• Timely invoicing internally and externally.
• Preparation of Import documents, export documents and bill of entry
• Logging non-conformities
• Fax required documents to customs office for clearance
• Ensure E clearance is adequately handled.
• Follow-up for certificate of origin with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
• Record and keep track in Excel sheet for all receiving numbers, invoices from vendors, customs broker, carriers, and agents.

Profile • Knowledge of / experience in dealing with customs office an asset
• Proven ability to provide a high standard of administrative support.
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customs in both written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), E-mail and Internet and databases.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Knowledge of E Clearance and Chamber of Commerce formalities
• Knowledge of Structured Steel and Deformed Steel
• Willingness to be flexible and stretch hours of work
